Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 1, 2026
Weuse ("we") respects the privacy of Abilit ("the app") users. This policy explains what leaves your device, why, and what your rights are.
Abilit is an on-device app by design. Your tasks, ability names, and gemstone records are stored only on your device and in your personal iCloud — they are never sent to our servers. Only the items listed below ever leave the app.
1. What we collect and when
| Category | Items | When |
|---|---|---|
| Usage statistics | A random identifier generated on your device, event timestamps, platform (iOS·iPadOS·macOS), country code, app version, point values, ability slot number (1–3), completion hour | Automatically, on app launch and task creation/completion |
| Support & feedback | The message you write, an optional email address, app name/version, OS version, device model | Only when you send feedback from Settings |
What we do not collect: name, phone number, address, payment details, advertising identifiers (IDFA), location. Task titles and ability names are never transmitted. Internal record IDs (UUIDs) are not sent either; abilities are counted only by slot number (1–3).
The random identifier is stored only on your device and disappears when you delete the app. It does not sync between devices, cannot identify you on its own, and is never combined with your name, email, or any other data.
2. Why we process it
- Usage statistics: to learn which features are actually used and improve the app
- Support & feedback: to answer your inquiry and improve the app
We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or tracking, and we never sell it.
3. Retention
All items in section 1 are kept for one year from collection, then deleted without delay. Retention is enforced in code: the server automatically deletes expired records every day.
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your data with third parties.
5. Processors
| Processor | Task | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Receiving and storing usage statistics (Workers · D1) | Same as section 3 |
| Discord Inc. | Receiving support messages | Same as section 3 |
International transfer: both processors' servers are located in the United States, so the items above are transferred there over the network, for the purposes and retention periods stated above. We confirm that both processors provide protections equivalent to this policy.
You can refuse this transfer. Usage statistics can be turned off anytime in Settings → Privacy → "Send anonymous usage data"; nothing is sent from that moment. The fact that you opted out (the identifier and the opt-out flag) is transmitted once so we can exclude you from statistics — nothing is sent afterwards. Support messages are sent only when you choose to send them.
6. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing at any time by emailing weuse.support@gmail.com. We respond within 10 days of receipt.
The random identifier alone does not let us find a specific user. If you delete the app, the identifier is gone and past records can no longer be attributed to any device; to delete records we already hold, email us at the address above.
Tasks, abilities, and gemstone records on your device are not held by us — you can erase them yourself in Settings → Reset data.
7. Deletion
Data past its retention period, or no longer needed, is deleted without delay using irreversible methods. We keep no paper copies.
8. Security measures
- All transmission is encrypted with HTTPS
- Retention is enforced in code — expired records are deleted automatically every day
- Minimal collection — task titles and ability names are never transmitted by design
- Access to collected data is limited to the minimum number of people
- You can turn off usage statistics yourself at any time
- The analytics identifier lives only on your device and is deleted with the app
9. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14. The feedback form only sends what a user types in; guardians may request deletion of anything a child sent by emailing weuse.support@gmail.com.
10. Contact
- Data protection contact: the founder, weuse.support@gmail.com
We answer privacy questions, complaints, and remedy requests without delay.
11. For EU/EEA users (GDPR)
If you use the app in the EU/EEA, the following also applies.
- Legal basis (Art. 6 GDPR): usage statistics rely on our legitimate interest in
improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f)) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can stop transmission anytime in Settings. Support messages rely on your consent when you choose to contact us.
- Your rights: in addition to section 6, you may request restriction of processing
and data portability, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- International transfers: transfers to the processors in section 5 (United States)
are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
- EU representative (Art. 27): our processing is occasional, small-scale, and
involves no special categories of data, so we consider the exemption from appointing a representative to apply. Contact weuse.support@gmail.com for anything GDPR-related.
12. Changes to this policy
Changes are announced through the app or this page at least 7 days before they take effect — 30 days for changes unfavorable to users.
